‘He’s turning it into Isibaya’: ‘Gomora’ viewers criticise writer Chris Radebe

Viewers of Gomora are unhappy with head writer Chris Radebe – who’s written for Isibaya which got cancelled by Mzansi Magic in 2020 and has also written for Uzalo.9

Fans have requested for the season one writer to return to the show as they’re unimpressed with the current storylines … from Gugu staying with MamSonto (Connie Chiume) , Thati (Katlego Danke) throwing her wig next to the dead body, Bongani (Thulani Mtsweni) not owning the chisanyama, and many more.

Gomora viewers reckon Chris Radebe is ruining the telenovela and fear the show might get cancelled like Isibaya where Radebe was the writer and actor at the time. Audiences also feel the storyline is getting predictable like Uzalo.

#GomoraMzansi wants writers to go back to the drawing board and re-write the storyline for this season as they’re not making sense.

Season three also began with the departures of actors talented Zolisa Xaluva, Buyile Mdladla who played the roles of Melusi and Phumlani respectively.

“Ever since Chris Q Radebe aka Dabula on Isibaya became the head writer of Gomora the storyline is kaak.”

“The head writer is Chris Q Radebe, the guy who messed up Uzalo now he’s onto Gomora.”

“His storylines are a mess and do not make sense.”

“Chris Q Radebe is really letting us down there by Gomora . The same happened when he joined Isibaya.”

“Phathutshedzo Makwarela is not the head writer of Gomora but rather a creator.”

“So if there’s anyone to blame for this complicated storyline I believe it is Chris Q Radebe and not Phathu or Gwydion ”

“Guess who the head writer is now? Chris Q Radebe, the same guy whose writing skills, or lack thereof, ruined Isibaya, no wonder Gomora’s sudden loss of the “believability” element.”

“Personally I’m not surprised by the sudden loss of direction!”

“Chris Q Radebe ruined Isibaya with his mediocre scriptwriting, and it looks like he’s gonna condemn Gomora to the same fate too!”

“One can only wonder why he’s so highly esteemed in the industry.”
