    She also has four People’s Choice Awards, three American Music Awards and is also in a select group to have received at least one nomination from the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, Tony Awards, and Emmy Awards.

    As well as being a chart-topping musician, Parton has also acted in several highly acclaimed films such as The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, for which she earned Golden Globe nominations for Best Actress, as well as Steel Magnolias and Straight Talk.
