Sexual Pleasure: Anal sex and its intense orgasms

Gay men have owned the anal sex space for years and they have mastered it but more and more women are reporting experiencing some of the most intense orgasms they have ever had during anal sex.

The “chocolate box” or “back door” sex is not being explored enough mainly because of the big misconception that it is dirty and painful, and don’t get me wrong it can be those things in very rare cases.

Butt play can be intensely pleasurable if done right, but before we get into how to do it right let’s address those misconceptions we all have had at some point about anal sex.

    MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT ANAL SEX

    • It is dirty – Two things, poop is situated way higher in the body, it sits in the sigmoid colon while sex would usually happen in your anal canal which is often clean if you are regular but if you don’t feel confident about this you can also opt for douching before sex or use a toy to check.
    • It is painful – Anal sex should be pleasurable, with enough foreplay and lubrication your body should be relaxed enough to experience pleasure.
    • Bleeding after sex – While it is okay for some bleeding to happen after anal sex it is not normal for continuous heavy bleeding, if this happens you need to consult your nearest health practitioner.
    • There is no pleasure – Most women who have had anal sex or anal stimulation report having had an orgasm even without the prostate which often gives men more sensory stimulation.
    • No condom is required – Most STIs can be transmitted through anal sex including HIV, the anus is highly prone to microscopic tearing which makes it easier to transmit infections.
    • The anus will get all stretched out – Similar to the vagina the anus retains its elasticity, it will stretch to accommodate your partner but will return to its normal size, over time you will learn to become more relaxed during anal sex allowing you to accommodate your partner easier.

    PREPARATION FOR ANAL SEX

    • Safety – Condoms are as important for anal sex as they are for vaginal sex, make sure you have enough.
    • Lots of lube – Unlike the vagina, the anus does not self-lubricate in most cases, ensuring you have good-quality lubricant that often offers a massage option to make the moment even more intimate.
    • Cleanliness – Make sure you wash your anus with soap and water, you never know where the intimacy may lead, and your partner may want to rim (orally pleasure the anus also known as analingus)
    • Enema and sex toys – Both of these are not requirements but optional extras, most people use an enema or douche for peace of mind, it makes them feel confident and comfortable but it is not a necessary part of anal sex.

    ANAL ORGASM

An article on Healthline clearly differentiates how different bodies experience anal orgasms:

“In cisgender men and people assigned male at birth, anal sex can stimulate the prostate and lead to an orgasm. Prostate orgasms are intense enough to send waves of orgasmic pleasure from head to toe.”

The Female anal orgasm has the potential to produce full-body orgasms, Healthline explains:

“For cisgender women and people assigned female at birth, anal sex can hit two hot spots: the G-spot and A-spot. Both are located along the vaginal wall but can be indirectly stimulated during anal… Rubbing them just right may even lead to squirting and the phenom referred to as “female ejaculation.”
