ANC KZN Chairperson, Siboniso Duma said they have faith that Dube-Ncube will be able to deal with issues of service delivery.
“She will be able to address imbalances of the past, especially regarding the emancipation of women from all walks of life,” Duma said.
When asked about why none of the newly elected ANC KZN leadership, they said none of them were ready for such a big role and would rather have someone who is more experienced.
ANC KZN Deputy Chairperson, Nomagugu Simelane said as a province they are way behind time on having female leaders.
“As the province we needed to make sure that female leaders are given the opportunity to lead because they have the capacity and have proven themselves. So when the opportunity presented itself it was only fair that a female takes over,” Simelane said.
