A beloved teenager, Raylan Theron (14), died after a car hit him and two friends in Melkbosstrand while walking on the sidewalk.

A car ploughed into the three friends who were walking on the sidewalk in Melkbosstrand.
The accident happened around 20:00 on Thursday evening.
Raylan Theron (14), Eduan Fourie (Grade 11), and Chris Tosen (Grade 11) are learners from Porterville High School in the Western Cape.
Raylan died due to his injuries, while Eduan is currently being treated for serious injuries at Groote Schuur Hospital.
According to reports, Chris, fortunately, did not sustain any serious injuries.
IT IS BELIEVED TWO VEHICLES HAD AN ACCIDENT BEFORE ONE PLOUGHED INTO BOYS
According to a report by Maroela Media, two vehicles were involved in an accident after which one of these vehicles hit the three boys on the side of the road.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed that a case of culpable homicide was being investigated. However, he did not elaborate on the incident.

Meanwhile, tributes poured in for the loved ones of Raylan. He was described as a polite boy with a lot of talent.

In a heartbreaking message, his father Riaan Theron, posted the following on Facebook:
“My boy my heart can’t explain the pain I am feeling at the moment my heart is empty and filled with joy it’s all the moments I missed and memories I missed bit we have our own memories. Jy is my engelsman my soutie en my boertjie. We had our differences in the end. You have changed and touched so many lives. I will never ever say goodbye.
