KZN man sentenced for raping AND impregnating teen daughter

The Camperdown Regional Court sentenced a KZN man to 15 years behind bars for raping and impregnating his biological daughter.

The man pleaded guilty to raping and impregnating his biological daughter

The 42-year-old was also deemed unfit to possess a firearm and his name was placed in the National Register for Sexual Offenses. The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development (DSD) said the man pleaded guilty.

“The man pleaded guilty for the rape and impregnating his daughter,”

    said the DSD.

    What happened?

The man lived with his children in Hammersdale after their mother left. In 2018, the man, according to the DSD, was consuming alcohol. He later went into a bedroom where his 16-year-old daughter was ironing his clothes.

He pushed her onto the bed and raped her. It was revealed that he threatened to injure her if she made any noise.

“After he had finished raping his daughter, he instructed her to take a bath,”

    said the DSD.

In February 2019, it was confirmed that the teenager was pregnant. Forensic DNA evidence presented in court confirmed that the man was the biological father of the child born out of raping his own daughter, reports The Citizen.

Father behind bars for raping and impregnating teenage daughter

Previously, it was reported that a 38-year-old father in Nelspruit was sentenced to 22 years behind bars after he raped and impregnated his teenage daughter. Police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said it is believed the father raped his daughter at Mahushu outside Hazyview in March 2019.

He said the daughter was invited to her grandparent’s place, where they resided with her biological father. They lied and told her the visit was to perform rituals. Upon her arrival, her father was not home but her grandmother contacted him.

“The daughter then demanded to go back home as it was already late. He then offered to accompany her home, knowing very well that he had orchestrated an evil plan against his own daughter,” said Mohlala. Read the full story here.
