Reminder: Applying for the SASSA R350 grant? Website will be down on these days

This is your reminder! Take note that if you are applying for the SASSA R350 social relief of distress (SRD) grant, you will not be able to access the website on these days.

IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR THE R350 GRANT – TAKE NOTE OF THIS

SASSA announced it would take some of its services offline for essential ICT maintenance, including the SRD website.

This means beneficiaries could struggle to access the website to check their grant status or submit applications on certain weekends.

SASSA furthermore said the application channel would be temporarily offline for some “downtown” from Friday through to late June.

    • 10 June to 12 June (17:00 Friday to 23:00 Sunday)
    • 24 June to 26 June (17:00 Friday to 23:00 Sunday)

“Please be informed that ICT will be running a series of systems and infrastructure maintenance. This will be a process done over four weekends. The first weekend of maintenance was done on May 20-22.

“Beneficiaries should please note that, during these times, the SRD website will not be available. We apologise for any possible inconvenience this maintenance might cause.”

SASSA GRANT PAYMENT DATES FOR JUNE

    • Older persons – Thursday, 2 June
    • Disability grants – Friday, 3 June
    • Children’s grants – Monday, 6 June

In the past, the first week of the month was reserved for the aforementioned grants before the SASSA started paying out the COVID-19 social relief of distress (SRD) R350 grant for the month.

Beneficiaries of the R350 grant have been encouraged to collect their grants from retail outlets or have the funds deposited directly into their bank accounts.
