The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga once again reminded all recipients of the R350 grant to reapply for the COVID-19 Social Relief of distress grant, in a statement on Thursday, 26 May. 22
MPUMALANGA SASSA ASKS R350 GRANT BENEFICIARIES TO RE-APPLY
The provincial agency said it issued the statement because its Customer Care unit has been inundated with enquiries from R350 grant beneficiaries.
“Clients assumed that automatically they will be in payment cycle of April 2022- March 2023. The era of disaster terms and conditions regulation has been repealed. New regulations have been published by the Minister of DSD for new application in this new normal era,” said Mpumalanga SASSA spokesperson Senzeni Ngubeni.

Ngubeni said applicants who are struggling to register for the R350 grant via the website must make use of the WhatsApp channel – 082-046-8553.
Applicants who have already re-applied via the website are asked not to make multiple applications as it confuses the system and bogs down the verification and approval processes, added the provincial spokesperson.
